Day 8 Wimbledon update

We’re not so technical when it comes to scores on games and matches ‘cept maybe when it’s Wimbledon where so many great matches are being played plus a number of our players are still in the running. Clearly much of the attention is on the roarin’ Andy Murray, the ever feisty Williams sisters, the Russian girls Safina and Dementieva and strong performances by Federer and Roddick and clearly Tommy Haas (above) is playing tremendously as he heads into the 5th round.

Another sighting at Wimbledon and how to deal with the queue
June 25, 2009

Wimbledon loves a cookout

There is a running joke how much the Brits love to queue up. Well if the rest of the world had a set up like this for every sporting, shopping, political event I think we would all we join the queue. The two ladies behind this patriotic tailgate where at the beginning of the queue for tickets to centre court the next day. They had it all – kettle, burners, picnic basket, air mattresses and of course the flags. The only thing missing was our very own Mardy Fish with the brown sauce (luckily he was busy getting into the Mens 3rd round)

June 24, 2009

Wimbledon sighting

I wonder if the city of London can do this to all underground stations. Its a very green approach to looking at mass transport. Makes us wonder what the tube stations will look like during the 2012 Olympics
