Here at Kspace, we love cool art. And when cool art gets displayed in the service of calling attention to a great cause, well, then we’re especially down. That’s the mandate of Manifest Equality, an event taking place from March 3 through March 7 in Los Angeles. Manifest Equality is a gallery space devoted to promoting equal rights for all Americans.

While Orange County has long been a center for surfing and skating, and produced a number of legendary punk bands, it’s been a while since any innovative music scene has come out of the often dull, conservative O.C. That’s all changed thanks to The Crosby, an ultra hip combination of restaurant, bar, and bookstore that’s also home to some of the most innovative DJ/electronic music blessing Southern California today.

Shepard Fairey is no giant. He has however become larger than life, since his man Obama won the Presidential seat last November, for which Fairey supplied the iconic imagery.
