Photographer Ryan McGinley originally shot these photos for The New York Times, documenting the 2004 US Olympic Swim Team. His images of Michael Phelps, Ian Crocker, Aaron Peirsol, Diana Munz and Jenny Thompson were stunning examples of McGinley’s prowess behind the lens, capturing the team underwater in a variety of states of play.

This might be the sportiest that Bloc Party actually get – whilst hangin’ out backstage at this weekend’s mighty Glastonbury the boys decided to put on their very own Olympic 2012 preview – huhm may need a bit more effort lads. I’m betting though that they played a crackin’ Glasto show and look forward to the new album.
