As we’ve followed the Bicycle Film Festival on its trek across North America, here in Los Angeles we’ve been somewhat jealous waiting, just like we’ve been jealous waiting for any comprehensive bike transportation in this city. Still, we’ve managed to hang on to some amazing artists which will be part of the Festival’s scavenger hunt of talent, Joyride LA.

It all started with a folding bicycle.

Former Talking heads frontman/musical savant David Byrne has been a long-time environmentalist, utilizing a trusty folding bike as his main means of getting around New York City.

Danny MacAskill is a 23 year-old stunt cyclist from Edinburgh, Scotland who released this video in April 2009, filmed by his room mate. The video contains some of the most technically difficult and imaginative tricks imaginable.
