Adam Freeland has taken on many guises. First the legendary U.K. DJ/producer was a breakbeat dude; then he kinda mixed rock with fat dance jams. These days, it seems, he just does whatever sounds great, and the genre classification can go to hell. Case in point: Freeland’s new remix of “Searching” by Om Unit.

It’s weird, sometimes, when a remix comes out before the original version of the song. Then again, when a remix is as banging as Etienne De Crecy’s electro-fied “Frech touch” re-rub of Adam Freeland’s “How To Fake Your Own Life,” we’ll live with the weirdness.

This year’s WMC took place from March 23-27, and to get the skinny on how it really goes down behind the scenes, we asked Pat Pardy—one hald of our fave DJ/producer duo Evil Nine to give us an on-the-down-low diary of their time there.
