As the Hyphy hip-hop movement surfaced, Oakland based artist Eric Federic lost control of a recessed personality that took over him like a disco-fueled funk demon.  Overtaken by his new ostentatious and unscrewed personality, Federics own party minded Mr. Hyde, he assumed the role of Ricky Reed.  Ricky Reed teamed up with drummer Arjun Singh to form Wallpaper, they started writing tracks and hitting the studio hard.  They just put out their first album, Doo Doo Face, on Eenie Meenie Records.  The music video for ‘I Got Soul, I’m So Wasted’ recently won the MTVu Freshman Video Contest and delivers the subject matter of the song.  ’I Got Soul’ is not the last of the singles coming off of the album.
