She was handed the Critic’s Choice prize at the Brit Awards by Courtney Love, but don’t hold that against Ellie Goulding. Goulding has proven to be one of our fave elastic-voiced electro-folk-pop artistes in the past year; now that she’s chosen our fave nu remixer, Penguin Prison, to do the business to her single “Starry Eyes,” well, we gotta give it up. Penguin Prison creates a galaxy of sparkly disco goodness around Goulding’s Kate Bush-meets-Laura Branigan vocals, and throws in some dope rhymes from hyped Brooklyn MC Theophilus London. There’s so many genres going on here, we don’t know what to do… except unfortunately paraphrase Lady Gaga: just dance…
