The monolith, the haze, the riff, the drawl of Black Mountain are set to return after a three-year gap this fall with Wilderness Heart, and we for ones are looking mighty forward to this long player (and the subsequent tour – they’re an amazing live act…on weed).

They’ve released a lead single, “The Hair Song,” and we find them still trawling the trenches of late-60s radio rock, complete with a Zeppelin wiggle of a riff and a strum worthy of John Cougar (for real). Now all we need is a “Stormy High” for 2010 and Iwe can call this year worth our time.
