We’re happy to get our Exclusive 66 Mixes from Gilles and the extended family whenever they are available, what with GP living up to his Worldwide moniker at every turn, now on his way for a series of gigs in Singapore and Japan. We’re looking forward to his ‘Sportswide’ report on Sumo wrestling from there so stay tuned and a reminder that his excellent Havana Cultura release (check the minimix in the jukey) is out soon on Brownswood Oct 29 – So all that’s left to do now is to Pop open our jukebox and give a listen.

Been rummaging around a lot recently as I’m compiling a new compilation for BBE celebrating 10 years of Worldwide. Consequently, there’s a bunch of of random ones in here from days gone by as well as a couple of new gems from Dam Funk and Zed Bias. Had to dig out one of my favourite Bugge Wesseltoft grooves after his performance at Ronnie Scott’s in London with Henrik Schwarz a few weeks ago. I’m also finding the UK Funky sound really intriguing right now  – part-Afro, part-MAW, part-grime – and it’s making me go back and revisit some older joints. Masters At Work remixing Grooverider – what a tune ! And Afronaught rerubbing Alison David – Wow !
