Late last year, Kenna told me he was in training to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa and also a dormant volcano. I thought he was nuts (in a good way), but this wasn’t some crazy whim. Kenna had tried the climb once before, however he never made it to the summit. This time, he’s enlisted several friends and activists to help his campaign in raising money and awareness towards the global clean water crisis. Each of the 19,330 feet that they climb they are asking that folks donate money, time and spread knowledge about the problem. Here, Kenna appears with Lupe to talk about training for the trek they will take in January 2010. The two will be joined by folks like Lupe Fiasco, Kick Kennedy, UN Humanitarian Elizabeth Gore, water expert Alexandra Cousteau and actress Jessica Biel.
