CMJ: Creme de la Creme, NYC 10/24

CMJ comes but once a year, however the indelible mark that is made from waves of college DJs and free beer on New York is year-round. This year, as in years past, the bands that make up the CMJ Music Marathon will undoubtedly be an eclectic variety, opening up venues to patrons from a wide variety of dispositions. To take advantage, Creme de la Creme will feature an absurdly diverse lineup, from dubstep to electro pop and beyond. Folks like DJ Gina Turner, dark soul of Rob Roy, club hop from Hollywood Holt and Dude Royal, LA dub from 12th Planet, electro hip-hop from Chicago’s He Say She Say. The event is being sponsored by Urb magazine, Lost in a Supermarket, BMI, dubFrequency and Kswiss. The highlight of the week in New York will be “Harley & Kate” who will be hanging with the bands Hey Champ and Christian TV, two Midwestern electronic pop phenoms that are being hotly buzzed about. Also Kswiss has tipped us about a special edition shoe only available through J-Crew, which the night’s festivities will help to celebrate. Remember, you heard it here first. We’ll have more to share after the 24th, but if you are bound for New York, or are already laid up there… Check this; Go here.
