blk jks rock ireland (again) & roll into london

The mud at Mantua festival was fine and all–BLK JKS onstage in full wellingtons!!–but the band felt compelled to return to Ireland for a couple of proper shows to fully illustrate its sound, minus the fog and horizontal rainfall so thoroughly enjoyed at the Ireland festival debut a few weeks ago. Three weeks into this tour (check pics from the road) and the Jks have begun to fuck with the formula, jamming harder yet alternating the chops with spontaneous passages of sweetness and light. And so with these sonics at hand the gents played Galway’s Roisin Dubh and Whelans in Dublin–two of Ireland’s best rock clubs. Everybody knows the Irish are mad for music of all kinds, so perhaps it’s no surprise the back-to-back gigs were straight smashes…the BLK JKS weapons grade genre fusion ratcheted up a few notches met with road-wrought chops and of the moment inspiration.
Read more ‘n more Blk Jks from the road here and if in London do not dare miss the Jks at NYC/LDN on Saturday Aug 30 together with Phil Asher, DJ Reborn, Patchwork Pirates and an Exclusive menu in the Cargo kitchen by Dante’s Fried Chicken – deee-licious !
