You always have to commend musicians who, when known for one type of sound, take a leap and do something different. Birdy Nam Nam, who have been feathering their hip hop nest for sometime, decided last night to fly the coup and take a wing on the air of electro. I still have a bit of saw bass ringing in my ear this morning. There was little nervous tension to see how the sounds would go down, but last night Birdy Nam Nam soared like mighty electro eagles and tore the roof of Cargo with their turntable talons. The crowd joined in the storm battle when they began ripping down the decorative tricolor motifs in the true spirit of the Bastille Day rebellion. Could you imagine if there were baguettes in the building?! Hands up for Crazy-B, DJ Pone, DJ Need and Lil Mike for giving a raved out performance typical in invincible Soundcrash fashion. est alors as a Bastile Day present, the Birdy’s have provided us with an Exclusive DJ mix that you could win by simply answering us back here the name of a Birdy album – bon chance !
