Since I’ve taken up residency in Shoreditch in London everyone is going on that 
EAST is the new WEST, with weekend outdoor markets and luxury 
boutiques to rival the best of the west end. Its good to know that 
the music is coming east too! One of West London’s panjudrum 
producers, IG Culture, will be venturing east for a special Deviation Night at Gramaphone on 5 March with resident Benji B, MC Judah and special live guest Eric Lau with Tawiah and more.

A leading architect in the broken 
beat landscape, IG can be best described as the iron chef of beats. 
Give him any random sample (preferably a Mizell Brothers one) and he 
can turn it into a “boogie oogie oogie” melody that could easily 
rival the original in an open dance floor.

Expect IG to lug over a 
big bag of raw alloy from reggae to house to broken beat, with a 
shiny placard reading “East is Beast!” Benji B’s Deviation monthly is each 1st Wednesday of the month at Gramaphone 60-61 Commerical St, Spitalfields E1 London – 10pm-2am £5 and you’re in !
