Its hard to believe that London is a bit short on great nightlife rooms, but we reckon that’s now all about to change thanks to the opening of a place called XOYO. Backed by the supreme team behind Field Day, Eat Your Own Ears, and Bugged Out!, XOYO debuts in Hoxton next month as the ultimate events space for live music, clubbing and arts. Just think of the ICA but in East London. We had the opportunity to take a sneak peak yesterday at this warehouse space which has been purpose built over two floors with high cellings, mobile staging and solid d&b sound systems with a capacity of 800 people. Impressive is one word to describe it. The official launch takes place on September 15 with a killer surprise line up. They’ve already begun publicizing future live shows with Mount Kimbie, Primary 1, British Sea Power, Dan Deacon, Errors and more. Also, former fans of the The End (RIP) will be ecstatic to see the return of those super club nights – Durrr and Bugged Out!. Believe it, XOYO will be love at first sight.
