Manifest Equality Gallery

Here at Kspace, we love cool art. And when cool art gets displayed in the service of calling attention to a great cause, well, then we’re especially down. That’s the mandate of Manifest Equality, an event taking place from March 3 through March 7 in Los Angeles. Manifest Equality is a gallery space devoted to promoting equal rights for all Americans. Even if there wasn’t a social message behind Manifest Equality’s art, the art itself comes from an incredible array of today’s most innovative visual creators. Shepard Fairey, Dan Monick, Aaron Rose, Sage Vaughn, and literally hundreds more have contributed to the cause; furthermore, Manifest Equality has sponsored an art contest with a stellar cast of notable judges, including Fairey, L.A. art demi-god Ed Ruscha, Vogue West Coast Editor Lisa Love, Hammer Museum director Ann Philbin, and, erm, L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. All things being equal, this is the must-see show to support this week.
