Q-Tip hosted a birthday celebration and tribute worthy of the royalty in all of us in spirit of Michael Jackson to an adoring capacity crowd – as many gloved up as not – ready for the stupendous mega-mixes served up by Tip himself, DJ Spinna and Mark Ronson to a crowd willing and deserving of the endless timeless Jacko Classics

“Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” indeed ! “Gotta be Starting Somethin’, PYT, Billie Jean, Beat It, Rock With You (fill in your favortites here __ and dance/sing along to the lyrics til you get enough) and prob every classic Michael ever gave us on the dancefloor at the boomin’ Nokia Theatre remodeled by 3 living masters of their craft. Living being the operative word, in light of the very recent other tragic loss of DJ AM that Ronson’s ‘I heart AM’ t-shirt acknowledged.

A little “Off The Wall” you might say after all’s been said and done ? nah no way ! all of us “On The Floor” last night (including music royalty Grandmaster Flash, DJ Premier) deserved a sweaty ecstatic dance to the Classic and Classics of our time and celebrating in the spirit Jacko’s music was made for and will continue with until the end of time !
