It is extremely heartwarming to see and feel someone’s work celebrated with such spirit as last eve’s ‘Blaize Simon on Calvert Avenue’ opening (check here). Must be why Blaize is beaming like he is, or surely it’s from releasing this photographic chapter of his life into an old school block party exhibit in London’s shoreditch. Not since my early Brooklyn days have i seen such a turn out of the heads, the dreads, the community, bredren not seen in the same place for ages – a true testament and salute to an artist like Blaize Simon with the patience to unleash his work at the ‘right’ time. Respect to Agnes (Haiti73), good friend Hassan Hajaj (Larache, Yima), the tireless working crew and every old school head that came out – we at kspace.tv are proud to have been part of this blast from the past into the future.
