08Records is born out of the 08Bar sessions and the ‘live’ celebration of the 1^st album takes place 29 June (6-10pm) at KS1 in Amsterdam with an instore MPC session featuring Cinnaman, Kid Sublime, Tom Trago, Sotu the Traveller, Elected, Alecto, Steven de Peven and more surprise guests. Drop by for some of the freshest beats and a get a limited edition (while they last) of 08BAR Vol 1 & 2.

KS1 is located in Amsterdam at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 262. Every first Wednesday of the month, we have our own clubnight @ Bitterzoet (Amsterdam). Producers can bring their own tracks on a CDR (do this before midnight to get free entrance by the way!), and you’ll get the chance to hear the track you just produced/mixed over a professional soundsystem, get feedback from the audience and other beatmakers, and the possibility to link with other producers, dj’s, rappers/vocalists, promotors, or just like-minded people.The first couple of hours of this night, only tracks submitted by these young, up-and-coming producers will be played, afterwards the Dj’s will spin the newest music from around the world, from hiphop to house, all in the spirit of promoting new and innovative electronic music 08Bar wants to stimulate talent, and promote electronic music in Holland, and beyond.Our resident DJ is Tom Trago (Amsterdam), known from his releases for RUSHHOUR AND KINDRED SPIRITS, WooHaa!-parties at Jimmy Woo, Paradisoul @ paradiso etc., but there’ll be a guest DJ and if possible a live-act at every 08Bar Past guests include Dutch acts like Rednose Distrikt, I.N.T. ft. Melodee, and DJ’s like Kid Sublime, Kubus, Cinnaman and Aardvarck, as well as international heavyweights like Mitsu the Beats (Japan), Mweslee (Spain), Pablo Valentino (Faces) and Tony Nwachukwu (Attica Blues, UK). Also, every once in a while, when we have something special to offer, or have something to celebrate, we throw an 08Bar Special at various locations in Holland.
