est voila ! we’re delighted to have DJ LeFtO back with us for an exclusive KSPACE.TV 66 Mix and May Day special as he travels to join us in California for some crackin’ DJ sets in early May (will post them soon). If in Europe you can catch LeFtO in his hometown Brussels on his radio show, live in clubs and with the ‘Friends and Family’ (recently Rich Medina in the area), as well as in London often with Gilles and the Brownswood crew and those (like me) lucky enough to be at the annual Worldwide Festival in Sete, France early July.

Whatever happened to drum and bass? So many d&b stalwarts have started making dubstep, and DJ Zinc has lately been spinning straight 4/4 beats he calls “crack house.” Well, Camo UFOs is ridin’ in like the cavalry to make drum and bass fun again—heck, the crazy sounds they’re making actually sound more like d&b’s original name, “jungle.”

Kickin’ off the Next 10 big ones, we’re psyched to present the latest Exclusive KSPACE.TV 66 Mix direct from HomeBaseNYC a whole lotta goodness made up of a party, a live music showcase, an internet radio show, a mix series and blog site based in NYC.

It wouldn’t quite feel like the holiday spirit without some kinda festive dance soundtrack now would it and dropping that right in ours laps today is the new Exclusive 66 Mix by Plain Janes – the liveliest collective in London at the moment. The ‘Janes’ are an arts collective made up of artists, poets, photographers, DJ’s and promoters organizing a wide spectrum of Arts and Culture Nights, exhibitions, gigs, book clubs, dance nights, and guerilla art attacks …..

We’re always psyched to get a new Exclusive 66 Mix in to share with you, especially conceived and mixed with great vibes from our good friend DJ LeFtO in the North Seas area – be sure to pop open our jukebox and give a listen – here’s what he has to say about the latest mix:

The Brownswood crew have just turned in another Exclusive killer mix, this time from DJ Mumblz ‘n up ‘n comer insider you’ll be hearing more ‘n more from in Londontown. “This mix is trying to represent the diversity of what I feel Brownswood is all about. My aim was to take the listener through the full rainbow spectrum of grooves that make up Brownswood’s identity but maintain an underlining vibe that connects it all together.

When a podcast starts off with Todd Rundgren “Bleeding” and breaks in the middle with Lil Wayne, you know you are in for one eclectic ride. Kwes has put together an exclusive 66 “Bokkle” Mix brewed with the strongest elements of progressive rock, grime, surf, and British pop. Ahhh… just the right cuppa!

Brownswood is particularly messy at the moment, probably because Gilles just got back from gigs in Japan and so there’s been a mountain of promos building up which he has now unleashed on the office. This 66 Mix was conceived one afternoon rooting around on the floor, under the table, in the kitchen, in the lounge and even in the studio. Nuggets were unearthed

It’s been a few weeks already since our good friend LeFtO was in town spinning at the Do Over and Low End Theory and taking a well deserved break from his radio show, club gigs, filming, blogging and promoting up on the Northern seas (of Europe that is). To fill in the gap until his next visit, he’s just graced us with another Exclusive 66 Mix for KSPACE.TV filled with a dazzling blend of the Classic and the new. We’re happy to get our Exclusive 66 Mixes from Gilles and the extended family whenever they are available, what with GP living up to his Worldwide moniker at every turn and is now on his way for a series of gigs in Japan. We’re looking forward to his ‘Sportswide’ report on Sumo wrestling from there so stay tuned and a reminder that his excellent Havana Cultura release (check the minimix in the jukey) is out soon Oct 29.
