We’re honored to have this intimate up close and personal GALLERY of Booka Shade shot by our good friend Tim Dobrovolny on July 17th as the boys travel to perform live at the excellent Glade Festival in Winchester, UK. Tim, based in Berlin has a long and fruitful history in the music biz including his recent General Manager-ship at Get Physical home of Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y.  and he’s clearly on the way to a fruitful photographic career in music and fashion.

Tim gives us a little background on this shoot:

The pictures are part of a documentary about Booka Shade on tour. GLADE festival was the first show where Booka Shade worked with their new stage and light design (see a small taste below) and the boys were really proud about the invitation to play the legendary Glade as a headliner with Underworld making this a very important date on their schedule. That was the reason why they asked me to make some pictures on their trip and also because Walter and Arno are friends of mine for almost 15 years now, so there is a trust in each other. I think this is part of why i can do these shots which are really close and they are not “faked” in the way that they made any pose or something like that – these pictures are the truth, nothing more and nothing less.
